Floods in western Ukraine: 12 towns, 114 houses inundated

In Western regions of Ukraine, 12 settlements and 114 houses are still inundated due to the bad weather, as the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reports.

Besides, one social and the household facility is flooded; 453 basements and 433 residential yards are deluged; 202.5 km of roads and 95 bridges are destroyed.

Since the beginning of the work, the Emergency Service rescued, evacuated, and settled out 2,523 people.

On June 23, the first consequences of the bad weather and heavy rains were reported in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.

Later, Ukraine's State Emergency Service announced the read alert in Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi regions.

The situation with the flood was complicated in Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Lviv, Zakarpattia, and Ternopil regions. Three persons died as a result of the disaster.
