As of morning, June 25, in the territory of 16 administrative areas of Ivano-Frankivsk region, 250 settlements were flooded, while 234 of them were still inundated, as 112 Ukraine TV channel reported citing Spokesperson of the State Emergency Service in Ivano-Frankivsk region Svitlana Babushkina.
“Totally, 10,399 houses, nine rural health posts, 15,610 residential yards, 4,546 basements, 7,182 hectares of agricultural land are flooded; 149 km of roads are destroyed; besides, 589 km of are damaged; 90 bridges are destroyed and 169 bridges are damaged. Besides, over, 4,000 bank protections are destroyed. The transport traffic with 33 settlements is restricted,” she said.
The Emergency Service noted that 81 times the rescuers helped the population on liquidation of the consequences of the bad weather during the past 24 hours. Totally, 235 road outs were performed. Totally, 410 units of equipment and 1,563 were involved in the liquidation of the consequences.
“During the holding of the operative actions, the detachments rescued 54 people during the past 24 hours, and in totally, 286 people were saved. 548 people were evacuated; 525 people were transferred through flooded areas; the water was pumped out in 203 houses. Besides, the water-drainage was held in 94 houses. The roads were cleaned from landslide and fallen trees. During the past 24 hours, 3,750 kg of food and 1,000 liters of fresh water were supplied,” Babushkina said.
According to her, as of today’s morning, there is no precipitate in the areas of the region. The gradual decrease of the water level is expected until the end of today. The situation is controlled; the work of the HQ on the liquidation of emergency is organized; the rescuers are ready to help people.
On June 23, the first consequences of the bad weather and heavy rains were reported in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Later, Ukraine's State Emergency Service announced the read alert in Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi regions.
