In Chernivtsi region, floods have completely destroyed the bridge beyween Marshytsi and Lunka villages. The water level in Prut river exceeded eight meters. Serhiy Osachuk, the governor posted this on Facebook.

The official claimed that the new bridge is supposed to be constructed immediately.

As we reported, Ukraine's Foreign Ministry turned to international partners, including NATO and EU member countries, asking for assistance with coping with consequences of floods in western regions of this country. The ministry's press office reported that on June 25.

"Ukraine's Office in the EU and Ukraine's Mission in NATO turned to EU agencies and Alliance structures so as to activate the mechanism of EU civilian protection and involve NATO Euro-Atlantic Centre for Response to Natural and Man-made Disasters", said Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

As is known, on June 22-24, heavy rains in four western Ukrainian regions caused severe floods. In total, 300 inhabited localities remain flooded. Three people deceased. Hundreds were evacuated.
