The FlixBus Company was founded in Munich in 2013 and became the biggest network of intercity buses in Europe. Its buses carry out 200 000 of travels between the European cities every day. The routes are formed through about 1200 settlements in 24 countries. The FlixBus started to work with Ukraine in 2016 but the travels were made by the partner company Leo Express.
Presently, this is the full call at the Ukrainian market. The first buses of the FlixBus will start to travel on July 27 from Kyiv, Lviv, Rivne and Zhytomyr to the cities of Poland and the Czech Republic. It will be the night travels to this day but the day travel will start to work until the half of the August.
The company announced more new directions from the Ukrainian cities.
‘New routes of FlixBus to Ukraine are the next step for the extension of the FlixBus to the territory of the Eastern Europe. We expect the growth of the demand for the travels to the European countries from Ukraine, taking into the account the decision of the European Union to implement the visa-free regime. The implementation of bigger amount of the FlixBus travels from Ukraine to Europe is our next plans’, the Vice-President of the FlixBus in Eastern Europe Mykolay Voityuk said.
The tickets for the travels from Kyiv, Lviv, Rivne and Zhytomyr are on sale at the official website www.flixbus.com.ua. The company offers 700 tickets at the price of five Euro from and to Ukraine due to the call at the Ukrainian market.
There are the special offers for such directions: Lviv-Prague, Kyiv –Prague, Krakow-Lviv, Krakow-Kyiv, Brno-Kyiv, and Brno-Lviv.
The company also offers the InterFlix ticket at the price of 99 Euro. It allows visiting any five cities in Europe. It is valid for three months.
There are the free Wi-Fi, the electrical outlets, the air conditioners and the toilet in the FlixBus buses. Also, the food and the water are sold at the buses. It is allowed bringing two items of the luggage per person. Usually, the ticket includes the free carriage of the hand-luggage (42x30x18cm, 7 kilograms) and two places for the luggage (67x50x27cm, total weight 30 kilograms).
The company intends to launch the mobile application FlixBus for the tickets booking in the Ukrainian language in the near time. The printed tickets are not necessary at the embarking on the bus. The registration can be implemented by the QR-code in the mobile phone.
