Kyiv international airport's press service reported that flights have been canceled there. The reason is thick fog that makes the air navigation dangerous.
Flights LO755 to Warsaw (LOT), VY7750 to Barcelona (Vueling Airlines) and 2847 to Minsk (Belavia) were canceled; flights W66108 to Hannover (Wizz Air), AZ590 to Rome (Alitalia), W66192 to Lisbon (Wizz Air), W1277 to Katowice (Wizz Air), W6280 to Riga (Wizz Air) and W6128 to 6128 (Wizz Air) have been reassigned to the emergency airfield in Boryspil airport.
All the passengers who were supposed to be getting on the return flights got the transfer to Boryspil airport.
Motor Sich air company's flight to Odesa was canceled, too; flights to Zaporizhya and Lviv are delayed.
Wizz Air flight from Vilnius could not land in Lviv airport; instead, it landed in Сluj, in Romania. Ryanair flight from Modlin (Warsaw) landed in Lviv - eventually, after spending some time in "the waiting zone".
As of 9 a.m. Kyiv time, the horizontal visible range made 200 meters, the vertical made 50 meters.
The fog has been observed in Ukraine for several days now; local authorities say it is casual kind of weather due to extreme humidity rate, but some citizens assume it is due to the high atmosphere pollution.
