The mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, after reports about kidnapping of a child, recalled that 5 thousand cameras were installed in Kyiv. He wrote about this on his Facebook page.

"Almost 5 thousand security cameras with face recognition option have been installed in Kyiv's institutions and public places, and all information is being collected and processed in the city data center, and law enforcement agencies are using it. We will continue installing video cameras - in the near future there will be almost 3 thousand more new cameras that will work for security in the capital, "he wrote.

In addition, he thanked the law enforcers for finding a child and handing it to the parents. He is sure that the installed video cameras also played a role in the search.

Let's note that the first "thanks" to law enforcement officers was said by Petro Poroshenko.

We recall that today law enforcers detained the criminal who had kidnapped the baby in Obolon yesterday. She turned out to be a 20-year-old girl. According to the preliminary version, with the help of the kidnapped child, the girl wanted to hide the fact that a month ago his own child died.

Doctors have already inspected the baby and handed it on to the parents. The prosecutor's office prepares suspicion of those involved, and also finds out the role of the suspect's husband.
