In Kharkiv, five hostages were released from the seized post office - three women and two children. This was reported by the press secretary of President Petro Poroshenko Svyatoslav Tsegolko on Twitter with reference to the information of the Security Service of Ukraine.

"The SBU chairman just reported to the president about the release of five hostages in Kharkiv, these are three women and two children," Tsegolko said.

Local media reported that doctors took them to ambulances.

At the moment, there are six hostages in the building.
