The head of the Ministry of Health Viktor Lyashko said that the first Ukrainian-made vaccine will appear next year. More precise dates will be announced by the end of the year. Lyashko said this during a meeting of the Servant of the People faction in Truskavets, the Dom TV channel reports.
According to Lyashko, the installation of lines for the production of vaccines against influenza and coronavirus has already begun in Kharkiv. At the end of 2021, the timing of the end of production will be known, and the first Ukrainian vaccine will leave the lines in 2022.
"In Kharkiv, the installation of lines for the production of inactivated vaccines against influenza and covid has already begun. We are at the stage of signing a memorandum for investment. By the end of this year, we will know exactly what the vaccine production deadlines are. But next year the first Ukrainian vaccine will leave the line," said Lyashko.
Earlier, Lyashko already reported that the first reports on the development of a Ukrainian vaccine against coronavirus should be provided in September 2021. At the same time, the minister noted that the private company DiaprofMed will decide for itself when to provide reports on the vaccine, since the state has not invested in this company.
