December 22, the first local elections to the united territorial communities (UTC) are held in 23 regions of Ukraine. Law enforcement officers maintain law and order near polling stations, the press service of the National Police reports.
119 territorial election commissions were formed for conducting the first local elections.
As of 7 a.m., all precinct election commissions received ballots. The police took them under round-the-clock protection.
According to the deputy chairman of the National Police, Oleksandr Fatsevych, law enforcement officers continue to ensure security and the rule of law during the election process.
So, from the beginning of the election campaign, the police registered 47 violations related to the electoral process. Basically, these facts are related to illegal campaigning - 14 facts, bribing voters - 5 and falsification of election documents - 4 facts.
On 7 facts, the information was entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations.
