The first case of infection with Chinese coronavirus has been observed in Romania. Reuters reported that with the reference to the local TV. According to the media, the infected man came back to Romania from Italy three weeks ago.

The patient is now at the infectious disease hospital in Bucharest.

Silvia Boliaku, the Director of the Healthcare Department in Suceava said that if the results of the test prove positive, the patient will be transferred to Iasi. 

Earlier, a woman was taken to a hospital in Chernivtsi (western Ukraine) upon returning from Italy; doctors suspect coronavirus. Mariya Polishchuk, the deputy director of the regional healthcare department said so during the briefing at Chernivtsi regional state administration, Ukrinform news agency reported.

According to her, the lady herself turned for medical assistance upon the arrival from Bergamo to Chernivtsi. The doctors decided to isolate her, as she could have contacted the infected people in Italy. Currently, she is being examined.

"The woman came from Bergamo to Suceava, Romania by airplane. Then, she took a taxi and came to Chernivtsi. She turned to the doctors herself, complaining about increased body temperature," the official said.
