In Ukraine, since the beginning of 2020, 1,132 people have died in fires, another 1,021 have been injured. This year, more than 90,000 fires have occurred in the country. This is evidenced by data from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Thus, according to the data, most fires occurred in the residential sector - 24,446, as well as in the category "Other" - 62,592, including fires in ecosystems.
There were 1,485 fires in the manufacturing sector and 3,245 in the transport one.
It is noted that 1,218 people were rescued, 1,132 died, another 1,021 people were injured.
As we reported earlier, Mykola Mykytenko, the Ukrainian military man who put himself on fire at Maidan Nezalezhnosti Square in Kyiv, has passed away from severe burns.
The man committed the act of self-immolation on the night of October 10 to October 11. He had 90 percent of his body burned.
