Fire in Odesa hotel: Nine people in extremely serious condition

Eight people died, ten are in the hospital as a result of the fire in the Odesa Tokyo Star Hotel. Nine of them are in extremely serious condition. This was reported from the scene by 112 Ukraine TV channel's correspondent.

According to her, the victims received burns of various degrees of severity and carbon monoxide poisoning.
 
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the fire at the Odesa Tokyo Star hotel, saying that he would personally see to it that those guilty will be punished in accordance with the law.
 
On the night of August 17, a large-scale fire broke out in Odesa Hotel Tokyo Star, as a result of which 8 people died and 10 more were injured. This was reported by the press office of the State Emergency Service.

It is noted that a message about a fire in the hotel was received by the rescuers at 1:34 a.m. 13 units of equipment and 65 personnel extinguished the fire. They managed to eliminate it on the area of 1000 square meters at 4:32. As a result of the incident, eight people died, and another 10 were injured.

On the fact of the incident, law enforcement authorities opened a criminal proceeding under Part 2 of Art. 270 (violation of fire safety requirements) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
