National Police served suspicion on the neglect of duty and violation of the fire safety rules, which led to the severe consequences to Director of Odesa college for economy, right and catering business Lyubov Kocherga as Ukrainian News reported citing National Police Head in Odesa region Oleh Bekh.
“The fire safety violated, in the result of which the evacuation of children was impossible. Over 600 people studied in the college; each of them paid $422-591 annually. For this money, the management of the college was obliged to provide the safety,” Bekh said.
He noted that the investigation of fire will be ended in the first quarter of 2020.
On December 4, the college for economics, law and hotel and catering business was on fire in Odesa.
According to Dumskaya, some students jumped on the parked cars from the fifth floor.
Due the fact of a fire in the Odesa college for economics, law, and hotel and catering business, the police opened a criminal case.
As of December 9, the number of victims in the fire in Odesa college has increased; already twelve people lost their lives in the accident.
