Fire at Kyiv Pechersk Lavra extinguished

The rescuers have extinguished the fire occurred on the second floor of the free-standing building owned by Kyiv Pechersk Lavra as the Emergency Service of Ukraine reported on Facebook.

“As of 20:07, the fire at address Lavrska Street 23 was extinguished,” the message said.

As we reported fire occurred in one of the buildings on the territory of Kyiv Pechersk Lavra on January 14 at 16:17.

Later the rescuers localized it and dismantled the roof of the building to get to the seat of fire on the second floor.

Earlier we reported that fire occurred at ‘Karpatnaftokhim’ factory in Kalush city in Ivano-Frankivsk region. It is noted that 20 units of equipment and 110 rescuers were involved in putting the fire out.

Besides, a restaurant burnt down in 'Shynok Chumatsky Dvir' restaurant in Kyiv, at the intersection of Zhukova and Sholem Aleichem Streets.
