Fire continues on the ammunition depot of Balakliya, 100 km away from Kharkiv, East of Ukraine. Third part of the depot’s territory is on fire. Stepan Poltorak, the Ukraine’s Defense Minister, reported that during his briefing, broadcasted by 112 Ukraine TV channel.
“Blasts occurred today and, sadly, they are still underway now. Currently, unfortunately, the fire is not localized, it is going on, covering one third of the whole territory of the depot,” Poltorak reported.
As it was reported earlier, a blast on ammunition storage facility in Kharkiv region occurred this night, on March 23 near the city of Balakliya. Almost 20 000 people evacuated to the nearest villages beyond the detonation zone.
