The government of Finland imposed restrictions of the entrance to the country for pickers of wild berries from the non-EU countries with bad epidemiological situation as the Finnish government reported.
The restriction will act from August 28 up to September 18 and will affect, in particular, the Ukrainian pickers of berries.
Georgia, New Zealand, Rwanda, Thailand, Tunisia, Uruguay and South Korea remain in the list of permitted countries.
Besides, all foreign workers should have a certificate from the company that employed them and it should be provided to the border guards during the entrance to the country. Then, the employee of the border guard service at the checkpoint might get in touch with the company to confirm the information mentioned in the documents.
Earlier, Finland planned to bring about 9,000 Ukrainian workers to collect the harvest in 2020. This was announced by Finnish Migration Service representative Tuuli Huchtilainen.
