As the minister noted, the final operation includes pumping water out of tanks, testing water flow, moving the tanker to depth, installing cables and devices for strapping the tanker between the DM barge and the Atlas-4 floating crane, confirming the possibility of crossing from the water area and the actual crossing.

As we reported before, the Economic court of the Odesa region opened a criminal proceeding against Mister Drake PC company, which owns the Delfi tanker; the vessel sunk not far from Odesa in November 2019. This is mentioned in the court's decision issued on September 1.

State enterprise Administration of Sea Ports of Ukraine filed the lawsuit against the company. It says it took the damage equal to the amount of 85,000 U.S. dollars. The administration of ports asks the court to charge this sum from the defendant.

In November 2019, the Delfi tanker remained in the waters of Pivdenny port; a powerful storm thwarted the vessel to Odesa, and it sunk not far from the coast. No attempts to lift it off the sea bed turned successful until July 26, when it was put on its backbone.
