The ceremony with the burial of the ashes of the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro ended in the Cuban city of Santiago de Cuba at the cemetery. It was reported by Aljazeera.

The funeral was accompanied by a salute of 21 guns.

The crowd of Cubans gathered at the entrance to the cemetery, who sang the national anthem and chanted "Live long, Fidel!".

The ceremony lasted more than an hour.

Fidel Castro died on November 25 at the age of 90 years. In Cuba, a nine-day national mourning was declared from November 26.

The permanent head of Cuba Fidel Castro led the country from 1959 to 2008. After him, his 84-year-old brother Raul Castro is ruling the country.
