Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin supported the recommendations of the National Democratic Institute and the European Parliament regarding the electoral process in 2019. About this he wrote in Twitter.

“I had a good discussion with the mission of the NDI and the European Parliament regarding the comprehensive attempts of disinformation and information attacks. Facebook should have worked with the Ukrainian segment from Kyiv long ago. Like other IT companies,” Klimkin said.

According to Ukrinform, the monitoring mission consisting of representatives of NDI and the European Parliament provided the Ukrainian government and society with 51 recommendations for improving the electoral process in 2019.

Among them are the equal access of all candidates to the media, the opening of a Facebook office in Kyiv, funding of public broadcasting.

Also, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko met with a delegation of NDI and the European Parliament and called on them to strengthen sanctions against Russia in connection with interference in the electoral process in Ukraine.
