In Kyiv, on the evening of November 17, Bazhan Avenue was completely blocked for the Presidential convoy. Yuri Sheremet reported it on his Facebook.
“I personally observed the picture when, for the convoy, they not only blocked traffic to Bazhan, but even forced drivers to move out and move along the adjacent streets so that the whole avenue was clean! We must pay tribute to the police: it seems that they themselves understood the absurdity of the situation and those who were indignant and did not want to move out, they simply offered to stand with the blinkers at the bend until their majesty passed,” – Sheremet wrote
In turn, the user Olexandr Noinets published photos of traffic jams that were formed due to the overlap of the avenue, and noted that drivers met the convoy with a "funny buzz".
“I think this is Poroshenko’s convoy. Not Zelensky’s. Zelensky’s convoy was canceled,” he said sarcastically.
Earlier, Zelensky’s team promised to cancel the convoy as well as not block the streets. According to the head of state, it is possible to organize this only at the request of foreign leaders who come to Ukraine on working or official visits.
As we reported, the Office of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that all sides agreed the date of the Normandy Format summit – December 9
