Extra beds deployed in Lviv region's hospitals, local Covid-19 incidence grows

The government of Lviv region has been deploying additional beds in hospitals due to the growing incidence of Covid-19. Orest Chemerys, Chief of the Healthcare Department of Lviv regional state administration reported that during the briefing.  

"Until yesterday, we had eight medical facilities where we treated the adults, and a children's hospital. Today (September 21, - 112 International), we launched hospitals in Sokal and Rudky. Apart from that, three more facilities are charged to prepare Covid units to host patients", Chemerys said.

On September 20, 152 patients with Covid-19 were hospitalized in Lviv region; the general number of currently hospitalized people in this region makes 1,268. Thus, the hospitals are full by 38.4 percent.

At midnight on Thursday, September 23, the entire territory of Ukraine will switch to the yellow quarantine zone. Only those educational institutions where at least 80% of employees have vaccination documents will be able to work in this area, press service of the Ministry of Education reports.
