The cultural program "VDNH inspires" will start, working on the territory of the Expocenter of Ukraine which includes a park zone and the expo specializes in Kyiv in the new summer season. The team of the space decided to emphasize the cultural and historical context of the complex, placing on its territory the works of contemporary Ukrainian artists - Zhanna Kadyrova, Ksenia Gnylytska, Sasha Dovhy, and others.
Visitors to the complex will be greeted by an exhibition of art posters specially created by 12 artists. All of them are dedicated to different locations of Expocenter, such as an apple garden, fountain, or pavilion, and often they are depicted.
Other works of art will also be located on the territory of the complex. For example, Zhanna Kadyrova's Recanonization project on the entrance group of pavilion № 2 or Ksenia Hnylytska’s sculpture in the greenhouse. By the way, the restored greenhouse with plants, which workers saved on their own during the desolation of the Expocenter, will soon open its doors to visitors.
During the summer, various art events will be held on the territory of Expocenter - master classes, concerts, lectures, literary readings. The main location for them will be the Tent of Inspiration, which is already working in the Picnic Garden. The exact schedule can be found on the website and official pages of the Expocenter of Ukraine in social networks. Excursions around the complex will be organized for those who wish. The season at Expocenter will last until mid-autumn.
According to the General Director of the Expocenter of Ukraine Yevhen Mushkin, culture is the basis of humanity as a social phenomenon. "That is why we are transforming the Expocenter into a cultural and educational park, where the introduction of creative areas is an integral part of the development of the complex," he said.
Yevhenia Molyar, an art critic and participant of the Where Not Where initiative, became the curator of the summer art season at the complex. Creative producer Natalia Veryovka also took part in the work.
Earlier, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Kyrylo Tymoshenko announced the opening of public access for recreation at state-owned facilities, including a sports facility at the Expocenter of Ukraine, Koncha-Zaspa, Zalissya and the Byryuchy Peninsula.
