A blast thundered in the occupied Luhansk, as the gas pipeline exploded and lit up. Press office of Luhanskgaz state enterprise reported that on June 18.

The diameter of the pipeline makes 425 mm. The explosion resulted in powerful fire, which was successfully extinguished by Friday morning.

According to the message, 20 residential buildings are temporarily cut off the gas supply mechanism. It will resume work after the maintenance is over.

Law enforcers are working on site to find out the reason for the blast.

Earlier, we reported that an explosion occurred at the gas station in Novosibirsk, Russia. At least 28 people suffered injuries in the accident, Interfax reports. 

A fire took place at the gas station; gas storages blew up, and the gas carrier was destroyed. A ground-based gas facility was devastated as well. The fire made it to the neighboring garages, and the gas cylinders de-pressurized inside these garages.

Nine of the wounded people are now in serious condition; another 12 suffered injuries of medium gravity. The operative reports claimed no fatalities.
