“On January 29, at 3.30 AM, the explosion of the gas-air mixture with the ignition of bitumen took place at three-storey building of resin-distillery workshop in the territory of Dnipro Coking plant in Kamianske. Five persons in critical condition were sent urgently to the hospital,” the message said.
The fire engulfed about 200 cubic meters. It was eliminated at 4:07 AM.

“The surrounding territory was checked for the presence of destruction. About 500 cubic meters of the equipment are damaged. The technological process of the plant is stopped,” Spokesperson of Emergency Service in Dnipropetrovsk region Daria Hrechyshcheva stated.

“Five workers of the plant stayed at the site, they were sent to the hospital with burns. Their faces and hands were burnt as the resin was used at the plant and its steam burned the employees,” she explained.
