A terrorist group Islamic State assumed responsibility for the explosion fired by a suicide bomber in the voters registration center in Kabul, as Reuters reported referring to the group’s news agency AMAQ.
Reportedly, the terrorist attack happened in Dasht-e-Barchi district in Kabul. According to the recent data, 31 people died and more than 50 people were injured as a result of the explosion.
Earlier, Ashraf Ghani, the President of Afghanistan, has officially announced the beginning of citizen’s registration for the participation in the parliamentary and local elections, which are to be held in October this year. He called Taliban, a radical movement, to use this opportunity to participate in the elections, but they refused. Taliban was thought to be responsible for the attack.
