An explosion reported in the city of Kirkuk in Iraq. As a result of the explosion of a car near a warehouse where ballot boxes of May elections were kept, a person was killed, at least 20 others were injured. This is reported by Reuters.

"Because of the bomb explosion in the city of Kirkuk near the warehouse of ballots, one person was killed, another 20 were injured, mostly there were policemen who guarded the facility," the agency reports citing local police.

It is also specified that the driver of the car blew himself up after he made an unsuccessful attempt to break into the warehouse.

On Tuesday, July 3, in Iraq, authorities plan to recount votes due to accusations of falsifying the results of the parliamentary elections that took place on May 12.

Information about the organizers of the explosion was not disclosed yet.
