25 people were injured in an explosion in the Hakkari district, Turkey, as reported by Anadolu.
'According to the preliminary data, an accident occurred on the Turkish Armed Forces base where heavy weaponry ammunition exploded,' the report said.
Officials described the blast as 'the accident'; an investigation has begun.
Seven more Turkish servicemen died, Turkish President Recep Erdogan said.
'Seven Turkish soldiers were killed, and about 25 people were injured in the explosion of ammunition,' he said.
The Ministry of Defense of Turkey noted that the explosion occurred during the training of shooting. The military said that it was defective ammunition that exploded.
