Ukrainian politician, former prime minister Oleksiy Honcharuk has left Ukraine. The politician will spend several months outside his home country, working in North America. Honcharuk told about it on his Facebook page.
"I will spend the next months in North America. Mostly in Washington," Honcharuk shared.
It was also noted that he wanted to look at Ukraine from afar to better understand the political situation in his native country.
As we reported earlier, Honcharuk has joined the Eurasia Center, a branch of the Atlantic Council of the United States.
“The Atlantic Council's Eurasia Center is honored to announce that Oleksiy Honcharuk will be joining as our new distinguished fellow. Serving as Ukraine's prime minister from 2019 to 2020, Oleksiy Honcharuk led a reform-oriented government. We're excited to welcome him to the team," reads the message.
It is worth noting that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine accepted the resignation of Oleksiy Honcharuk from the post of Prime Minister and his government back in March.
