A former official was killed in Sumy, northern Ukraine; the murder took place on Thursday evening.
Anatoliy Zhuk was found dead in the yard near his house; his father found him when he came to visit his son.
'It was found that the deceased man passed away (...) due to the gunshot wound, which appeared to be fatal. The police found a handgun on the crime scene', the message says.
The police operatives and K-9 service workers work on the site.
Anatoliy Zhuk served as MP of Sumy city council and headed the department of Urban Development and Land Resources; in 2014, he ran for mayor's office.
As we reported earlier, two gunshot wounds took the life of Vitaliy Oleshko, the former volunteer fighter of Donbas battalion and the active participant in Donbas conflict. A gunfire attack occurred in the southeastern city of Berdiansk on Tuesday.
Oleshko was shot dead in the yard of a local hotel, in front of his wife. Andriy Madzharov, who later uploaded a video on his social network account confirmed that the man sustained two wounds to his back; the killer used a shotgun.
