Former MP Nadia Savchenko called on Ukrainians to take part in the campaign for a referendum on the land sale market in Ukraine. It is expected to take place on November 17, under the President's Office. Savchenko wrote about it on her Facebook page.
"I, Nadia Savchenko, will go out on Sunday, November 17, at 2 pm under the Office of the President of Ukraine on Bankova Street in Kyiv to take part in an action for a referendum on the land sale market in Ukraine. I go out myself and urge you. I urge everyone, who understands that land is invaluable, to protest, and those who do not understand it - to join the dialogue,” Savchenko said.
She added that she requires resolving the issue of the land sale market via a national referendum.
"A referendum on how Ukrainian can manage his own land. We are not doing anything illegal. We require the president to fulfill his election promise. We demand resolution of Ukraine's national interests issue through a nationwide referendum," the statement said.
As we reported earlier, an All-Ukrainian referendum on the land sale market may be held before 2024, but only after the law on it is passed in the second reading. This was stated by the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov on the air of the 1+1 TV channel.
"Let's wait for the referendum laws to be passed. This may happen sooner than in 2024," Razumkov said when he was asked by a member of the Golos party Yulia Klymenko about the possibility of holding a referendum during the functioning of the new government.
