Every fourth child in a conflict zone in 22 countries of the world doesn’t attend school, UNICEF informed on Facebook.
“Having analyzed the situation in 22 countries that suffered from military activity, the UNICEF experts found that every fourth child in conflict zones doesn’t attend school. This concerns 24 million children aged 6 to 15,” the statement says.
UNICEF warns that this may lead to a generation raised in which people wouldn’t have the necessary skills and the ability to make a contribution to improving the society.
As we reported earlier, the UNICEF said that the mined territory in Donbas threatens lives of 220,000 children.
