Demy performs for Greece this year on Eurovision 2017.
Dimitra Papadea is 25-year-old singer from Athens. Despite her increasing popularity, Demy has said that she is committed to her law studies with her sights set on finishing her degree. Demy's first full-length studio album, No.1 was released in late 2012 according to her record label. In December 2015, it was announced that she will be performing in Casablanca Music Hall along with Nina Lotsari. Demy's performances there will be quite different from those she used to give since she will sing in fanky and jazz rhythm instead of pop. Her song was composed by Dimitris Kontopoulos with lyrics from Romy Papadea and John Ballard.
Lyrics
English (original)
Holding on to what we had can be so complicated
Could be time to move along and face it, no more debating
Watch the river running dry
Now it's time to say goodbye
There's an echo in my head
There's a story still unread
And I need you here tonight
Walk away, don't turn around
I will never let you down
I won't let you see me cry
There's an echo in my head
There's a crossroad up ahead
How I want you here
Forever and ever and ever and ever
I'm not giving up
This is love
Reaching out for the stars
You and me as one
Everywhere this is love
This is love
Holding on to what we had can be so self-destroying
Remember how we laughed and played around till night met the morning?
Watch the sun set in the sky
There will never be goodbye
There's an echo in my head
There's a story still unread
And I need you here tonight
Walk away, don't turn around
I will never let you down
How I want you here
Forever and ever and ever and ever
I'm not giving up
This is love
Reaching out for the stars
You and me as one
Everywhere this is love
This is love
Reaching out for the stars
You and me as one
This is love
