The government of the Netherlands confirmed that Eurovision 2021 in Rotterdam will take place with a limited audience and under strict conditions that provide health and safety of the fans, team, press, and participants as eurovision.tv reported.
3,500 people can be admitted to the arena; it is about 20% of Rotterdam Ahoy capacity. The tickets will be available for people who purchased tickets in 2020. There will be no public sale. On May 5, all buyers of last year tickers will get instructions from the organizers.
It is expected that everyone will stick to strict health and safety protocols established by the government of the Netherlands.
The audience will come to performances by a certain time. It will be possible to leave the hall and move to cafe, restrooms or street according to a pre-established schedule.
It will be necessary to observe distance and wear means of individual protection in the hall.
The guests have to hold the test for Covid-19 before the event and confirm the result five days after the event to make sure that there were no infected people in the hall.
The organizers do not rule out that the epidemiological situation can change again and the show can take place without audience.
Eurovision 2021 will take place at the planned Ahoy Arena in Rotterdam. The semi-finals will take place on May 18 and May 20. The final will take place on May 22. The results of the draw of semi-finals for 2020 will remain in force.
The organizers allowed the winners of selections for 2020 to perform; however, the song should be new. All partakers of Eurovision 2021 will record their songs alive beforehand.
