The first semi-final of the Eurovision finished in Israel’s Tel Aviv. According to the results of the voting, which would take place on May 18, 10 countries: Greece, Belarus, Serbia, Cyprus, Estonia, Czech Republic, Australia, Iceland, San Marino, and Slovenia entered the final.
The three leaders according to the number of hits of performances of the first semi-finalists do not coincide with the results of the voting. In particular, the top-3 included the representatives of Poland, who did not enter the final.
Thus, Tamta from Cyprus with the song Replay, which gained over 605,000 views, won the first place.
At Polish Quartet Tulia with the song Fire of Love, which was viewed more than 507,000 times, ranked the second.
Kate Miller-Heidke from Australia with a composition Zero Gravity, 433,000 views takes the third position, according to the number of views.
On February 27, it was reported that Ukraine would not send its representative to Eurovision-2019. The reason was extensive politicization during the national selection. Ukrainians are not able to vote for the singers.
As we reported, singer Anna Korsun (Maruv), the winner of the national selection would not represent Ukraine at the song contest “Eurovision 2019.” Maruv said that she was forced to refuse from the participation in the contest from Ukraine due to her tour in Russia.
