The producers of the Eurovision-2019, which have already started in Israel and will be held from May 14 till May 18, made a draw in which half of the Grand Final the Big Five countries will perform. As it is reported on the website eurovisionworld.com.
The five countries - France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom will perform in the finals automatically. This is because these countries are the founders of the song contest. In addition, the country, which won the previous year (Israel), will enter the final automatically as well.
According to the report, German singer will perform in the first half of the final, and in the second half of final France, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom will perform as well.
“After the semi-finals have finished on Tuesday and Thursday, the qualifiers from the semi-finals will make a draw to decide in which half of the Grand Final they will participate in. It has already been decided via draw that Israel will perform as number 14 in the Grand Final”, as the report said.
As we reported, singer Anna Korsun (Maruv) would not present Ukraine at the song contest “Eurovision 2019”. Maruv said that she was forced to refuse from the participation in the contest from Ukraine due to her tour in Russia.
Besides, STB TV Channel stated that the rules of the national selection for Eurovision did not contain demands on the absence of the tours in the Russian Federation. It also added that only the National Television Company of Ukraine can decide who would represent Ukraine during the Eurovision.
On February 26, Freedom-jazz girls band, which got the second place in the national selection for Eurovision song contest, refused to participate in it. Later, Kazka band, which took the third place, also refused to present Ukraine at Eurovision.
On February 27, it was reported that Ukraine would not send its representative to Eurovision-2019, which to be held in Israel.
