Salvador informed about his summer tour in Portugal

The winner of Eurovision 2017 commented on his success at the contest. 

Portuguese representative confessed during the press conference that he did not get the results of grand final right away.

"I didn’t understand the votes. Someone from our team told us we won!" 

Answering the question on further plans after the Eurovision, he said he would just continue with his life.

He also informed about his summer tour in Portugal.

Salvador also shared his impressions from the victory.

"I hope my victory makes a change not only in Eurovision but also in pop music. If I can bring some sort of change to the pop music in the world in general, because people only listen to the music that is thrown at us from the radio stations, I’ll be more than happy." Salvador also paid tribute to his sister Luisa who wrote his winning song.

He also made the journalists laugh with his funny remark about his behavior.

"I like being crazy on stage," artist admitted.


As it is known, Salvador Sobral has won the 62nd Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv. The winning song was called 'Amar Pelos Dois' (For the Both of Us), it was penned by his sister Luisa Sobral. They also sang together during the winning performance.

Beyond that, Salvador Sobral has been diagnosed with a heart condition and was unable to travel to Kyiv for the first technical rehearsals earlier. Allegedly he is waiting for a heart transplant.

Portuguese singer received 758 points overall. Bulgarian representative Kristian Kostov came second with 615 points, while Sunstroke Project from Moldavia became third (374 points).
