For the past day, Ukrainian border guards in Boryspil and Kyiv airports have issued passes for two participants, who were the first to arrive at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 (to be held in Kyiv in May). In total, 13 people came to the capital of Ukraine using flights Baku-Kyiv, London-Kyiv, Istanbul-Kyiv and Dubai-Kyiv to participate in the contest and work at the backstage. This was reported by the press service of the State Border Service.
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine noted that a number of actions were carried out during the preparation for the Eurovision. So, in cooperation with the representatives of the fiscal service, the procedures of border and customs control for guests and participants of the song contest have been worked out as a matter of priority. Particular attention during the arrival of the contestants will be given to the security sector, law enforcement at the checkpoints.
It is assumed that the main checkpoints, which will be used by the participants and guests of Eurovision, will be the points for air communication - up to 70% of the total number of arrivals for the song contest. 20% participants will use the car checkpoints, another 10% - rail checkpoints.
