Eurovision-2017: Bulgarian contestant visited occupied Crimea

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine responded to the information broadened by the mass media that Kristian Kostov, representative of Bulgaria in Eurovision-2017 visited occupied Crimea in June 2014.

The Ukrainian State Border Guard Service emphasized that Kostov was underage in 2014 so he could not make decisions on his own and was accompanied by adults during the visit.

Also, it is noticed that legislative provision towards the occupied territory went into effect only at the end of 2014. According to the provision, if a person violates established order of the entrance to Crimea then this person will carry responsibility.

The mass media provided information that Kristian Kostov, representative of Bulgaria in Eurovision-2017 visited occupied Crimea in June 2014 on May 11. Also, the video of his performance was made public.

Kristian Kostov is going to perform in the Second Semi Final of Eurovision, which will begin at 10 PM. He is one of the contenders to take the highest place in the song contest.

Also, the Security Service of Ukraine prohibited the Russian contestant Julia Samoylova from entering the territory of Ukraine as she visited Crimea in 2015.
