Police, Eurovision 2017 in Kyiv

Today, on May 8, Eurovision 2017 performers will have the open rehearsals at the International Exhibition Centre in Kyiv – the main venue of the contest. Ukraine’s National Police sent almost 4,000 workers to the IEC to maintain public safety at the time.

The press service of the National Police reported no violations of public order during the Eurovision opening ceremony, which took place in Kyiv on May 7.

In several streets, road traffic – for both vehicles and pedestrians – will be limited until the end of the day; this is due to the solemn marches and meetings slated for today in Kyiv, as Ukraine marks the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation in WWII.
