The integrated monitoring of the violation of human rights in Ukraine was represented at the round-table talks 'Violation of human rights, restriction of media freedom and political repressions in Ukraine' in European Parliament on September 27. The human rights group 'Uspishna Varta' reported this.
The team of lawyers of 'Uspishna Varta' holds the analysis of the cases of the violations of the human rights in Ukraine since the beginning of 2017. The experts state the fast-moving worsening of the situation with the human rights and absence of the response from the Ukrainian authorities on the criticism from the international expert community.
The European parliamentarians from Czech Republic, Latvia, Spain and the expert on observance of the human rights in the world succeed to confirm that the situation of the observance of the elementary human rights in Ukraine worsen on the basis of the represented document in Brussels.
The particular emphasis was made on the cases of the prosecution of the citizens for political reasons, hindering of work of the political parties, restriction of the rights for the peaceful gatherings. It is noted that there are the political and conscience prisoners in Ukraine. For the example, the student from Lviv Denys Kondrata who stored the communist marks and literature, the journalists Dmytro Vasylets and Evgen Tymonin, Vasyl Muravytsky who criticized the acting authorities at the social networks. Moreover, the authorities put pressure at the independent mass media such as radio 'Vesti', website 'Strana.ua', TV Chanells Inter and 112.
The organizations that took part in the preparation of the document will recommend the European Commission to adopt the resolution towards the Ukrainian authorities with a demand to stop the pressure on the mass media and opposition, to stop the prosecutions for political reason and selective justice.
