The session of General Assembly of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) gathered in Lausanne on December 8 to hear Ukraine’s report on preparations for Eurovision 2017, Ukraine’s First TV channel reported.

Executive producers of the next year’s European song contest confirmed that Kyiv is ready to host it. According to their report, two-thirds of the total sum allocated for the organization of the contest will be provided by the state treasury; the rest will be covered by Kyiv city hall. Respective legal frameworks have been brought in line with European laws, too. Logo of Eurovision 2017 will be presented in the near time.

Based on the report by the Ukrainian side, EBU’s General Assembly decided that there will be no more official discussions about the city, which is to host the next year’s Eurovision.
