The European Union plans to hold the first vaccinations against coronavirus until the end of December as President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen reported.
“The European Commission by now has secured contracts with six companies. The first European citizens might already be vaccinated before the end of December…Member States have to prepare the logistics for the eventual deployment of hundreds of millions of doses,” the message said.
As we reported, American biotech company Pfizer and German Biontech have applied for registration of their coronavirus vaccine in the United States. The efficacy of this vaccine makes 94%.
One of the most efficient vaccines is also the one developed by Moderna. The company noted that its efficacy makes 95%. Moderna stated that a dose of the vaccine will cost $25-37.
