The talks should continue on May 20. However, even if the Council of the EU makes a compromise, it will need formal approval from the side of the individual EU states and the European Parliament.

It is known that the vaccination certificate should be protected from falsification and it should prove that its owner was vaccinated against Covid-19, has a negative test or recent overcoming. Thus, the EU would like to simplify movement inside the union during summer vacations.

However, it is a matter of argument what status will be provided to recently tested for Covid-19 and who will pay for testing. It is still unknown whether or not such a certificate will provide unlimited freedom of movement in Europe or particular states can introduce their own rules of the entrance.

Earlier, it was reported that the Covid-certificates, which include the data on vaccination of patients are supposed to be launched in Ukraine by July 1.
