Speaking today at the Lviv National University, Hugh Mingarelli praised Ukraine for its potential and criticized corruption. This is reported by Tvoye Misto.
Mingarelli stressed that Ukraine has significant natural and human resources, which gives all the opportunities to quickly become a modern open society based on an effective social market economy.
But he did not ignore our internal turmoil:
"A few people turned your fantastic country into an ATM, largely because of corruption, so we devote a lot of our time, energy and resources, sharing our experience of overcoming corruption with your authorities."
According to Mingarelli, the level of education, knowledge of IT technologies and languages in Ukraine is higher than in Western Europe.
We recall, Hugh Mingarelli, a French diplomat of Italian descent, is the head of the European Union representation in Ukraine since August 29, 2016.
