According to the message, the fire-flows drop to the ocean from 100-meters in height. The contact of lava and saltwater provoked the emissions of toxic gases that raise the concern of the authorities. Due to it, the local authorities banned the vessels to enter the waters in a distance of four km.
Cumbre Vieja volcano has started to erupt on September 19. It erupted thousands of tons of lave, destroyed hundreds of houses and a few thousand people were evacuated. Moreover, the local airport has stopped its work due to the volcano eruption.
As we reported, the most active and largest volcano in Indonesia – Merapi on the island of Java erupted on Sunday, August 8. No casualties were reported.
