An environmental disaster occurred in Nadra river, Kyiv region, in between the villages of Lekhnivka and Nadra. Kyiv Fish Protection Patrol reported that on June 3.
When the locals asked the aithority to check the site, workers of the regional department of State Fish Agency reached the site. They found about three hundred dead fish. The inspectors took water samples for further checks in three locations, so that they could figure out the circumstances of the event.
The locals said that the water in that river turned brown on late May 30. The fish began to die the day after that.
The State Inspection for Environment, Main Department of State Consumer Service, Kyiv State Regional Administration and State Fish Agency will get the respective letters.
