An employee of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine diagnosed with Covid-19 died as the Border Guard Service reported.

“Yesterday, the worker of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine of the 1956 year of birth died; he was diagnosed with Covid-19,” the message said.

On June 5, the man was hospitalized to departmental hospital with bilateral pneumonia. However, his state deteriorated and on June 6, he was put on the artificial lung ventilation apparatus. Due to the exacerbation of the state and the presence of concurrent chronic diseases, the doctors could not save the life of the patient.

As of June 10, 58 employees of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine are infected with Covid-19. 34 people recovered. 21 patients receive treatment.

As of June 10, Ukrainian medics have observed 28,381 cases of coronavirus across the country. 525 new cases were confirmed over June 9. 833 people succumbed to the disease since the epidemic reached Ukraine. 12,769 managed to recover.
