An employee of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who died from the coronavirus infection yesterday, on April 16, was in the risk group, he was 60 years old as 112 Ukraine TV channel reported citing Head of press service of the Medical Forces Oleksiy Mazepa.

According to Mazepa, a man had the first symptoms in the form of the usual acute respiratory infection; then his state deteriorated and on April 8, he was hospitalized to the intensive care unit of Lviv hospital.

“He was hospitalized to Lviv hospital, put on the artificial lung ventilators at the intensive care unit. But, unfortunately, all efforts of the doctors fell flat; he died yesterday,” he said.

Besides, during the past 24 hours, one more infection case was spotted at the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Currently, a man stays at Odesa hospital. The doctors evaluated his condition as stable. The contact persons stay in self-isolation.

Earlier, it was reported that the second lethal case from Covid-19 spotted at the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 23 cases of Covid-19 were spotted in general.

As of early April 17, there are 4,662 confirmed cases of infection with Covid-19 in Ukraine. 501 new cases have been confirmed over 24 hours (April 16). In total, 125 people succumbed to the disease, and 246 patients recovered.
