Environmentally dangerous emissions in Homora river caused the massive loss of living organisms

Technogenic emergency situation at the local level has been announced in Zhytomyr region since April 14, 2016 due to the pollution of Slootch and Homora rivers, - reported on the website of Baranovska State Administration.

Earlier state of emergency was declared in Crimea due to African swine fever

"As evidenced by the preliminary conclusions of experts, environmentally dangerous emissions were thrown to the Homora river which flows into the river Slootch. This caused the massive loss of living organisms, fish and crayfish. In order to identify the source of pollution, finding the perpetrators and bringing them to the responsibility the National Police local office initiated the criminal proceedings" - said the Novograd-Volyn local prosecutor Galyna Philipchuk.
