Emergency shutdown of power lines in Crimea occurred due to heat

The Russian Ministry of Energy claims that the power supply of the majority of the consumers is restored

The reason of the emergency that caused the shutdown of the power lines of the settlements of occupied Crimea on July 28 is the heat. The press service of the Ministry of Energy of Russia reported this.

'The anomalous high temperature of the of the South-West energy region of the Krasnodar Krai caused the emergency shutdown of the power lines and it caused the absence of the power supply in Crimea peninsula', the message reported.

The Russian Ministry claimed that the repair works are holding at the moment and the situation is under the special control of the Deputy of the Energy Minister of Russia Andrey Cherezov. Also, it claimed that the 80% of the power supply in Crimea is restored. The remained power supply will be restored in the near time.

Four branches of the power bridge are turned off. The traffic lights do not work and the trolleybuses stopped.
